Close-proximity competition breeds frustration and anger. Guys who would normally be cool with each other turn into demons once they are placed on the course against one another, and that’s where sportsmanship and the Golden Rule apply. ButĀ emotions and tempers can run hot and boil over, and that’s where Supercross rider Weston Peick found himself during the opening round of the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series at Anaheim. Earlier on in the night Peick found himself tangled up with rider Vince Friese in anĀ incident that sent Peick into the hay bales and off of the track. In the semi-finals, however, things went bad…coming into a 90-degree bowl turn, Friese cut Peick off mid-corner and both riders went for a roll on the ground, and that was only the start of the trouble. The second he had his footing, Peick started throwing blows on-camera at Friese’s helmet and shoulders. In the short term, Peick’s temper was satisfied, but the AMA didn’t feel the same way and have suspended Peick one race and have fined him $5000 for opening up that can of whoop-ass on television.
(Thanks to Casey Woodside for the tip!)

Lol did NASCAR buy AMA?
So he punched a guy in the dirt bike helmet. Repeatedly. Somebody isn’t racing with all his spokes tightened here.
