A Look At How A Lowrider Flake Roof Paint Job Is Done From Start to Finish

Whether or not you are a fan of Customs or Lowriders, the paint jobs that they often have are awe-inspiring and make you wonder just how they pull them off. I can only imagine how many times they pull tape lines and how much masking must be involved. I’ll admit that I’ve always wanted a lowrider with panel paint and heavy flake. I can see it in my head, and think a ’64 Impala Convertible would be an epic way to go. With my budgets, I’ll have to learn how to paint it myself if that is ever going to happen, but we’ll worry about that when the time comes. In the meantime, I do dig watching videos showing lowrider or custom paint styles like this one from Jason Toney Designz.

In this video you are going to see the process from start to finish with no music, and no voiceover. Just watch and see what it takes to do this kind of work. Keep in mind that all the masking and prep aren’t covered, as each step is done quickly so you don’t have to watch the unmasking and masking. It’s very interesting and I dig it.
