Adding Lights To Your Garage Door Can Make Your Garage So Much Nicer To Work In

The average garage has some fluorescent lights hung on the ceiling if you’re lucky, and while they may provide “okay” lighting while the garage is closed, opening the overhead door usually blocks some of them and makes it suck to work with the door open at night. And since the average home garage isn’t nearly big enough to work on one or more cars with the door closed, this is a problem we all face pretty often.

One cool solution though is to mount some lights to the inside of the door so that when you open it they are facing down and can light the entry area of your garage and the front of your driveway. Mounting lights on the door isn’t rocket science, but making it so you don’t have to plug them in every time you open the door, and unplug them every time you close it, means you have to put some thought into it. This dude here put some thought into it and came up with a great way to mount, wire, and use his garage door lights and we totally approve.
