Best Shop Vac? Ridgid vs Shop Vac, DeWalt, Stanley, Hart, Craftsman

Best Shop Vac? Ridgid vs Shop Vac, DeWalt, Stanley, Hart, Craftsman

I recently replaced our old worn-out shop vac with one that is much bigger and more powerful, but shopping for one certainly wasn’t easy. Not that it was hard per se, but since you can’t test them out you really have nothing to go by except the specs on the manufacturer’s spec sheet. And since so many of them are similar, it really comes down to power per dollar when shopping online. So that’s what we did. We looked at the specs, and then chose the one that had the most power per dollar. In our case, that ended up being an option from Ridgid.

But how does our Ridgid stack up against all the others? Thanks to Project Farm, you are about to find out!

Video Description:

SHOP VACS TESTED: Ridgid, Craftsman, Shop Vac, Bauer, DeWalt, Hart, and Stanley tested for horsepower, air speed, suction and noise level. Testing also included speed of vacuuming 5 gallons of water and 50 pounds of sand. Total water holding capacity also measured for each brand. Finally, each brand participated in a “grudge” match when the suction hoses were joined together.

I’ve had the absolute best, most powerful, quietest (its best feature) wet/dry shop vacuum for nearly 30 years. It rolls better than any other shop vacuum too! It isn’t cheap but it’s outlasted every other brand you’ve considered, all of which I’ve owned and either wore out or sold since this vacuum is such a good quality unit. I “efing” LOVE THE STUPID THING.
It isn’t cheap but if your a pro & need it, it will pay for itself several times over as it has for me!
It’s a European made unit by a company called ALTO/WAP by KEW Technologies. My wife calls it “THE WAP”. Mine cost over $700 bucks long ago, but it’s well worth the investment IF YOU NEED & WILL USE IT!
Otherwise…………….. get a cheap one & wear your ear protection always!

I have sold Wap/Alto with KEW Technologies vacuums for over 30 years. I agree with the previous post – they are the best, most durable, quietest shop vacs around. They are also powerful and fully sealed, so you will not have dirt blowing through them. Their filters are Teflon coated, which make them ideal for wet or dry applications. http://www.industrialvacs.com or call us if you want more info at 800-214-9111.
