With the unbelievable growth in LED technology over the past several years, flashlights have gotten more and more powerful. Hell, there are ads for them only where folks are using them to start fires, boil water, and more. But what if what you are looking for an ultra bright light and don’t really care about cooking with it? We all know that the claimed lumens on lights are often exaggerated, so seeing a real back to back test is key to know how they really stack up.
Whether you are talking about flashlights, headlights, etc, there are a couple of different standards for measurements and you don’t know which one they are using every time. Some manufacturers do tell you, but not all, so you have no idea if one manufacturers 750 lumens is the same as another’s 750 lumens.
Lucky for use the Torque Test Channel has a new lumen tester and all of the flashlights in the shootout are being tested on the same tester in the same way so you will know how they really stack up.
