The boys are confident they are going to make it and that scares me. Whenever you set an arbitrary deadline and then start getting close and deliriously think that you are on track to make it all happen and roll out the door, things happen. Bad things. Or just things. Things that keep the thing you are trying to accomplish from happening in their entirety. Not, “Oh the engine never went together so we didn’t get it in the truck to make our deadline.” kind of things, but little things. Things that keep it from running and driving but that under any other situation would take just minutes to fix. But because the thrash is on, and is ending on a weekend, there is not shot at getting the little parts and pieces needed to finish up. It sucks. I’m afraid.

But the boys are thrashing, look pretty good considering they are now 4 days into this, and are doing a nice job of putting together the C10. There isn’t much, if any, butchery going on here and that’s awesome. This truck may not look pretty overall right now, but the goal is to have something incredibly cool and fun and nice to drive and beat on. This is a truck that is supposed to be out having way more fun that a C10 should, in any way that involves turning corners and being sideways. We approve.
