Metal Shaping: Making a Hand Carved Skull Shift Knob From Brass!

Karl and Kristina Fisher just hit 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and decided a giveaway was in order and it couldn’t be something lame. Nope, in typical Karl fashion this thing is amazing and as usual he’s so humble about his talents that it amazes me. Sculpting is a whole other thing when it comes to art and doing so out of solid brass, by hand, is pretty slick to watch. I don’t think I have any of that kind of skill, but even if I did I would think this was a super impressive project to see come together. You are going to want to watch this one for sure.

And as usual, Karl can’t just make something he’s actually giving instruction along the way on what tools he’s using and why. He even goes and gets more tools during the build because he needs some finer cutters and such, and he shows just what he chooses so you can do the same thing if you are trying to get into hand carving brass or aluminum or something.
