Unless you are really new around here, you know I’m the guy who loves all things welding and fabrication. We’re building a new shop and house right now and I’m dreaming of a killer new welding table. But one thing I’ve really always wanted was a fixture table like the one Justin makes in this cool video from The Fabrication Series. Sure he uses an ultra cool FastCut CNC Plasma Table but that too is something I’d love to add to my shop capabilities. After all, who doesn’t need a cnc plasma table? Never mind, lets get back to the table.
Unlike a lot of fixture or welding tables I’ve seen, this one is particularly handy in a small space and that is what makes this table cool for someone that has a small home shop. With collapsible legs, a tilting top, and other cool features that Justin specifically thought out, this is a table that can roll through a door way, store in half the space of a table this size, and works to build the most precise parts possible. Using a table like this to its best ability does require some tooling, but man the capabilities once you have them make it all worth doing. This is the kind of table that can allow you to build parts you only dream of because it can hold them in prefect alignment and allow repeatability as needed as well.
Just check out the video and you’ll see why we want one.
