This Rolling Metal Shop Table Project Is One You Can Do At Home And Would Be Seriously Handy

I’m a big fan of shop tables that move around so you don’t need to take up all your space, all the time. Of course there is also a danger when you talk about horizontal spaces, because they just seem to collect a bunch of crap so often. But there is nothing nicer than having a big space to work on bigger projects, or those that have a lot of parts and pieces. This one is a great metal table, with MDF top and bottom shelves, that can be used for all kinds of stuff. If it were my shop, I’d probably make the tops out of steel or stainless, but only because I’m usually dealing with stuff that would bang up the mdf. Or maybe I’d build one of each. I’ll just have to see when I get ready to build one for the new shop. Either way, mine will have heavy duty casters so it rolls around like this.

Other cool stuff you can do to them includes swinging stools that store on the table and so much more. This is one of those projects that lends itself to great amounts of customization that will make it your own and allow you to work on the projects you do most.

Would the average home shop have room for a 5×9 table, rolling or not? How about a top that can be stored against a wall and set of two study saw horses when needed.
