Weeks ago we gave you a preview of the fun and carnage we experienced while cutting a up a 1985 Corvette with the gang at Hot Rod Magazine. It was a riot like none other, and resulted in some really cool findings on how weight affects a car on the road course. We cut the junk up with reciprocating saws, hammers, pry bars, angle grinders, cutoff wheels, and more. The single greatest moment had to be when we were able to cut the entire rear clip of the Vette in only two pieces. It was brilliant.
Of course, there was a method to our madness, and you can read all about how much quicker the Vette was on our cool Toyota Speedway at Irwindale test track in the November 2010 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. Look for cool photos of yours truly doing some massive drifting in the car. Yes, it was as much fun as you would imagine. We have lots of plans for the Vette’s future too. It’s not dead yet, and is sitting at the house just waiting its turn. Look to Hot Rod for more details and plans. You’ll dig em. Until then, check out the video that Dustin Gould from Boondoggle Media put together for Hot Rod. It was fun to make, and fun to be a part of.
