Tubing can be some of the most rewarding and challenging things to weld. But no matter how much time you spend fitting tubing, there are still so many joints in a typical cage or chassis that at some point one of them isn’t going to fit quite as nice as you want. If building a new tube that fits better isn’t a reasonable option, then welding them in may be your only choice. But making the welds strong, clean, and good looking is a bit more challenging if the gap is a bit bigger than ideal. In this video Tim McAmis shows just how to do clean nice welding on tubing that may have a bit more gap than you would like. Pay attention, this stuff could be the difference between good and great.
