The Detroit Not-o-Rama: A 1989 Mustang Show Car (With a Mangled Hood and Cowl)

You’ve got to love an ad that has a bombshell about the car tucked into the middle of it and totally downplayed. In this case we’re talking about the 1989 Mustang convertible that the owner claims is a show car. The only problem is the fact that the hood decided to play peek-a-boo with the windshield and cowl, causing a “pinch” according to the seller.

This one made it on our list primarily for the black and white interior which looks to have been lifted from a magazine circa 1985. The hood admission of, “I would sell this car for 11,000 but the hood flew open and pinched the cowl,” was the clincher.

We’re kind of wondering about the transmission too. The car is claimed to be packing a 351W and a 5-speed. We’re guessing it to be a T-5. If that’s the case, it better come with a spare because if the motor has any snot, it’ll be puking those things left and right.
