Admittedly, this Redline Rebuild series, focused on a 4.0L Jeep inline six that was stroked to 4.6L was not the most exotic or exciting in the series, BUT, the good news is that the payoff time lapse of the build is just as good or even better than any they have ever done before. It is stylistic and cool, uses insane camera angles that seem impossible, and has just enough whimsy to be brilliant while showing us literally every stop of the engine building process. Simply put, this is 100% the total package.
We showed you all of the installments in the teardown and build of the engine. We thought it was cool that they were basically able to score all the parts from Rock Auto and none of them are “speed parts” per se. This is a way to use a lot of factory parts to achieve a significant bump in displacement and power without breaking the bank.
This Cherokee (which is insanely clean for Michigan!) will have a new lease on life and a whole lot more pep in its step now. Watch the video and revel in the creativity!
