We love seeing new places, but we’re not sure we want to do it in a go kart. A company in San Diego, California, allows you to tour the city in what amounts to a GPS equipped, amusement park go kart. This seems like it will be a big hit until someone is squashed by a real car.
We found a story in the San Diego Star that described the experience of two people taking the go-kart tour of the city. While they enjoyed the freedom of being able to stop where they wanted and venture off the beaten path, they seemed to fear for their lives more than once during their day in the kart.
Tour buses suck, but getting killed in a go kart on a public street would probably rank as worse in our books. You can try this, we’ll pass.
