Another One Saved – Check Out This Film Of The Rescue Of A 1969 Dodge Charger SE!

You know the story: you find the car of your dreams, sitting where it has sat for decades. You look over every detail, good and bad…the slime growing on the paint, the cobwebs growing around the car, the dents, the scars, all of it. “One day,” you say to yourself, “one day I’ll buy that car and fix it up right.” Many a gearhead has dreamed of that moment where the owner finally agrees to sell after years of saying no, but it’s not often that it happens. Dylan McCool seems to have the magic touch when it comes to Mopars that have been left to Nature. Among his rides, he’s got a Dodge Warlock, Chrysler ex-police Newport, a Dart Swinger, and several more, but recently he acquired this 1969 Dodge Charger SE. It’s amazing that he even found one…between restoration junkies and Hollywood, how many can be left sitting, pretty much unmolested? It’s obvious this Charger led a hell of a life, and it’s going to take a lot of work to bring it back to respectability after sitting in the trees for so long, but it’s a complete 1969 Charger. You don’t want to know the kind of money it takes to get one that looks like this. Can he get this well-optioned 383 car up and going? We will have to wait and see, but for now, check out it’s extraction and first cleaning at the coin-op car wash. That first step always makes dragging a relic out of it’s slumber so much better, doesn’t it?

Thanks to Charles Wickam for the tip!

I’m weird, I guess, but I thinks it’s cool to see trailer hitches on muscle cars, as it shows they were used for everything! A blue car with blue interior & AC isn’t real common is it?
