We’ve showed you lots of running miniature V8 engines over the years here on BangShift but none of them have ever been attached to an actual car, well that changes right now. Craftsman Tom Nesper has built an awesome quarter scale chopped Ford coupe and instead of powering it with an electric motor, he went the extra mile, nay, the extra 100 miles and powered the sucker with a screaming quarter scale V8. Better than that, the thing looks like it has a tiny roots blower on it!
In the video below you will see it running on a sort of testing table and Nesper wings the engine several times, revealing it to be a real screamer, in the literal sense. The little engine goes from idle to redline in a nanosecond and if it provides the power that it sounds like it does, this thing will be very, very fast. We’re not 100% sure but we believe that Nesper built the whole operation (motor and all) by hand. The description on the video says that he has been working on it for years and we don’t doubt it. If the supercharger is working (hey, why wouldn’t it be?) we can’t even imagine the amount of time he has in to scratch making the case, the rotors, etc. In terms of small cars, this one takes the cake.
We’re going to monitor this thing and hopefully video will surface of it running and frying the quarter scale slicks like we think it will. Between the rake, the radical roof chop, and the sound, this is one of the neatest things we have seen in a long, long time. Hats off to Tom Nesper, he’s got the baddest mini-hot rod in the world!

WOW! That is freaking awesome! In the fantasy I just had, this little gem would be equipped with remote control throttle, brakes, and steering, in that video.
