Barbie Jeep Racing In Alabama: Plastic Wheels, Don’t Fail Me Now!

What possess a 300 pound man to sit in a plastic toy designed for a kid aged five or under wearing little more than long-sleeved shirts, long pants and a bicycle helmet for the opportunity to fling themselves down a hill that is better suited to ATVs than Power Wheels? The opportunity to win some cash, folks. Barbie Jeep racing might have started for just the hell of it and for a laugh, but when six hundred dollars of prize money is on the line, you can bet that there will be more than a couple of people at the top of Mount Backbreaker seated in plastic Jeeps, Mustangs, and whatever else came battery-powered and slow, hoping to get a piece of the prize pie. Even the guy filming for Busted Knuckle Video gets in on the action with his John Deere Gator mini-me, giving you a helmet cam perspective on the ride down.

Money makes people do some questionable things.
