Brutal! Listen To This 428ci Twin-Turbo Windsor Ford That Nelson Racing Engines Put Together Scream On A 1500HP Dyno Run!

Nelson Racing Engines knows how to make a motor that can terrify even the most jaded driver. From racers all over the country to what might be their most famous build, David Freiburger’s “F-bomb” Camaro, NRE is known for making unholy amounts of power, the kind of numbers that leave us giggling like young kids who are telling the kinds of jokes that their parents disapprove of. In this dyno video, we have a Ford Windsor block that is pushing 428 cubic inches with 88mm Turbonetics turbochargers hanging off of it. At idle it just sounds like a cammed Ford small-block. Once the lever is pushed forward on the dyno, however, this monster comes to life and goes for broke. I normally don’t see “power” dials on a dyno, but Nelson’s setup has one and it twists around like the tach does. Lohnes has driven a car powered by one of their builds and considers it a highlight.
