It seems long ago that monster trucks were something more than fiberglass and noise. Back when Bigfoot was without question a household name, but had other names following right behind: Awesome Kong. Taurus. USA-1. The Beast. These were more than just a body on the biggest buggy anyone ever built…these were real trucks, running real heavy-duty gear, crushing cars, buses, trailer parks, whatever got in the way, really, and there was more to it back then as well: the mud pit, where the monster trucks actually proved themselves, and above all, the ones who floated their trucks across water.
