Classic YouTube: The South Carolina Muscle Car Society’s First Annual Burnout Contest

Cool cars, frying tires, and good music…if there’s a better combination to get our attention at BangShift, chances are good that we can’t show it on the front page. This footage comes from the South Carolina Muscle Car Society’s “Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em” meet up. The burnout contest was held at Blatchley Brake and Tire in Ridgeland, South Carolina and owner Keefe Blatchley even took part in the fun (he’s in the General Lee). The winners that day were the white El Camino, the blue split bumper Camaro, and the violent C3 Corvette with side pipes. You’ll also see others, including some nice restored rides and a Pro Street ‘Cuda that might be the old BF Goodrich poster car. But the best part of the whole thing is that it was captured on video, set to a soundtrack of Fu Manchu, and posted to YouTube to enjoy!
