The Street Car Takeover at Beech Bend earlier this year was a wild event to cover…roll racing, drag racing, car shows, a burnout contest, all while I was near heat exhaustion. In short, it was a badass weekend and I’m looking forward to next year in the hopes that they return. What gave it away? I got to the track Saturday morning, maybe thirty minutes after the hijinks you will see in the video took place. All you could see was freshly repaved asphalt in Beech Bend’s circle track, far as the eye could see. There might have been one or two individuals that weren’t in the least impressed with what had taken place, but Cleetus will not be denied the chance to cut loose with a badass car, and better early in the morning with nobody around than to do it with people trying to crowd up. Dynosty’s 350Z is a bad mother…that’s all that needs to be said about it. It is one evil sonofabitch and it screams. So does McFarland when the owner shows him how to really fling the turbocharged, LS-swapped, monster Z around!
