Carnage Video: RC Enerson vs. Nelson Piquet, Jr. At The 2015 Grand Prix of Toronto Indy Lights Race

RC Enerson somehow managed to walk away from an airborne crash that ended with him sliding upside-down into a tire barrier at a considerable speed. That’s not skill, that is pure dumb luck, and Enerson should be thanking whatever deity is looking out for him, because this crash at the 2015 Grand Prix of Toronto could have, and for all intents and purposes, should have, been much worse. The incident occurred as Enerson was trying to make a move on Nelson Piquet, Jr. and misjudged the braking zone and upcoming turn. Enerson’s right front wheel struck Piquet’s left rear, popping Enerson’s car straight up into the air before it returned to earth, where it slid into the tires. At least Enerson walked away looking none the worse after the trip. Click play below and see just how far that race car slides before hitting the tires:

Nasty stuff, I was down there yesterday spectating. When that showed on the big screen near our seats, everybody was expecting the worst.
