Donut Media Put Out Their Top 10 Jet Car List – Do You Agree With Their Choices?

You want to get the attention of a human being? Introduce fire. Humans have been fascinated with fire as long as we’ve been walking upright. Fire keeps us warm and hurts us horribly. It is friend and foe at the same time, and visually, it’s awesome and horrifying. From a tiny little campfire best suited for making s’mores and telling stories around to the evil hissing jet of flame coming from an oxygen-acetelyne torch, we use fire for our benefit and our comfort.

We also use fire for our entertainment. Jet cars are some of the most over-the-top show pieces to hit a racing surface anywhere, anytime, ever. Your typical jet engine is meant for aircraft power and is radical overkill for any wheeled vehicle. The noise and the speeds attained by a jet car truly boggle the mind when seen in person for the first time. Just by thrust, a jet car can give a Top Fueler a run for it’s money and a show nobody in the crowd will ever forget. Fire, flames and fury are all part of the program and they deliver with percussive pops, smoke screens and of course, trails of fire that leave the machines looking like comets as they race down the track.

Donut Media put together a list of their top 10 jet-powered vehicles. It is no surprise that the Shockwave jet truck and Colin Furze’s pulse-jet go-kart made the list. A Chrysler minivan blowing fire out of the back glass and a jet-powered port-a-john aren’t so expected. Every vehicle on the list is wicked in it’s own right, but are there others that should’ve been on the list instead?

Actually the Jet Outhouse and Jet School Bus may have as many hits if not more then Shockwave has,,,, but then again I may be a little biased,,,,,
And I really think the first and fastest jet truck ever built by Bob Motz should\’ve made the list,,,,
