Door-ectomy: Making A Two-Door 1957 Chevy Out Of A Four-Door

The Aussies don’t care, the South Africans don’t care, and the Japanese don’t care, but in America the majority still believes that there is no place for a four-door vehicle except as a parts donor for a two-door vehicle. Personally, I don’t agree with that, but to some, there is no other option. There are two ports and the passengers can learn how to crawl into the backseat if they are that insistent. Just like those who convert long-bed trucks into short beds for aesthetic reasons, some people are willing to convert a four-door car into a two-door the hard way in their shop instead of just hunting for a two-door body to work on.

It’s difficult to not expect butchery when you hear someone say that they’re going to make this kind of move. But this guy is taking a measured approach to converting this 1957 Chevrolet sedan into a two-door post car. While the sedan was a pretty decent start for a car, at least this isn’t going to be a video-only deal…the Bel Air has been a progress that had started out as a frame with half of the body left. Either way, the car is being returned back to life!
