Dyno Video: A Turbocharged 1938 Harley LSR Bike on the Chassis Dyno

Land Speed Racing is undoubtedly the last bastion of pure mechanical expression. Weird, arcane engine combinations are used without apology to set records and do things they were never originally intended to do. We know very little about old Harley-Davidson motorcycles equipped with flathead motors. One thing we will claim to know is that they didn’t make 90hp like this turbocharged LSR bike version makes. It sounds totally freaking bad ass as well.

The bike was built by American Cycle Fabrication and gets run flat out at Bonneville. The action really kicks up about two and a half minutes into the video when the bike is on the rollers and making a couple pulls. This could be the hardest fought 90hp in motorsports.
