Winners will receive a cool trophy and a gift certificate for Spectre Performance products valued at $1,000. This is a kick ass prize and it speaks to the growing popularity of these types of high speed, high performance driving events.

Ontario, Calif. (April 6, 2010) – Spectre Performance is proud to announce a new Top Speed prize for three of the hottest high performance driving events in the country. The Spectre Top Speed Award will recognize the highest speed achieved by competitors (as measured by a radar gun at a specific point on the track) at the Optima Street Car Faceoff, the Midwest Muscle Car Challenge and the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. The award will include a specially designed trophy and a gift certificate for Spectre Performance products valued at $1000.

This will be the first year Spectre sponsors the Optima Street Car Faceoff at Road America near Milwaukee, WI April 30 – May 2, as well as the Midwest MuscleCar Challenge in Indiana and Illinois May 29-30, 2010. In 2009 Spectre was the design and engineering sponsor for the annual Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational and this year will return with the new prize.
