We’ve been wondering what kinds of performance buyers could expect from the new EcoBoost V6 powered F-150. All the stats seemed pretty impressive. With 365hp and 420 lb/ft of torque, the math seemed to suggest that the truck could and should move out pretty well. Newsflash…it does. This video shows the guys from Pickuptrucks.com beating on both a N/A V6 truck and a the boosted turbo model. 

The best performance that the guys were able to wring out of the EcoBoost truck was 14.60. That’s significantly quicker than the eight cylinder offerings from both GM and Dodge. The “hot” setup previously (outside of specialty trucks like the Lightning and SRT/10 Ram) was the short box 2WD Hemi-powered Ram truck. That truck was unable to crack into the 14-second zone though.

All we know is that there is a “non-specialty” truck out there now that would be fun as hell on the street and with some computer tweaking (and we know of one dealer already doing some of that) could be damned close to the 13s.
