The Entire Summertime Fun Car In One! Britain’s Mental Engineer Builds A Hot Tub BMW With A Barbecue!

Colin Furze, the slightly unbalanced but delightfully manic engineer from Britain who has brought us such fun items as a homemade pulse-jet go-kart, a hot-rodded bumper car and a fully weaponized tuk-tuk, has been busy at work again. This time the target of his tools is an E30-series BMW, and it appears that Colin has got a bit of a summertime itch to scratch. Who wouldn’t want to be out doors, barbecuing, lounging in a hot tub as the last few hot days dwindle into the early autumn, where it’s still warm, less hot, and still quite nice out? We see nothing wrong with that and neither does he. The one thing he does take issue with is that normally, you’re stuck at one place, usually wherever the hot tub is parked at the moment. Well, consider that problem solved: he fully sealed up this BMW convertible to be waterproof, covered it in fake grass, frenched in a barbecue grille into the trunk, and in a move we’re sure two friends of ours would totally approve of, used two leaf blowers to turn the yuppie drop-top into a rolling hot tub.

This, right here, is proof that being crazy doesn’t mean you can’t have good ideas.

  1. Chevy Hatin' Mad Geordie

At least this keeps this idiot off the public roads and saves any other road users from harm. Edd China he isn’t and the Big Fella should pay him a visit and rip his head off…..

  2. Matt Cramer

I did get a bit curious about how he avoided melting the Astroturf around the grill.

But… this is a Colin Furze project, and that’s the only thing that looks somewhat unsafe about it?!? That’s a first. Now I’m pondering how the idea would work if you scaled it up to a van with the roof Sawzalled off.
