Road Trip! As someone who has, on multiple occasions, headed off cross country in a car or truck that has zero miles on them, I can tell you that there is some anxiety that goes along with the excitement. But part of the excitement is the adventure of getting there, fixing stuff on the side of the road perhaps, and the satisfaction of knowing that your junk made it. I’ve driven cars 1,500 miles one way after building them and only putting 10 miles of driving on them, and had zero issues on the entire trip. That’s the norm. But there are some times that I’ve done the same thing and just a few miles in we’re already having to fix something. It is what it is, and is just part of the process when we’re playing with old cars.
Aaron and Emily at Flying Sparks Garage have a fun diesel Mercedes station wagon project that they have been prepping for adventures on and even a little off the road, and now it is time for that bad boy to make a real road trip.
