Yes, this is the one we are waiting for from Ford. 350 horsepower, 350 ft/lbs of torque, all wheel drive and ready to get wicked, the Focus RS has been a car to watch ever since Ford showed it off to press in Germany in February. It takes heavy amounts of engineering and development to bring a car like the Focus RS from a concept to a market-ready production car. Normally, the development part, especially the driving analysis, is covered by factory test drivers, but in the case of Ford Performance, they had someone who they could call on who knew AWD Fords very well: Ken Block, a man who has made a living with Ford’s rally cars over the years. They brought him to Germany and cut him loose with the test mules to gain his insight on the RS’s driving behaviors…then they cut him completely loose with one. We can only assume it was a torture test of some type…
