Porsche’s 911 is iconic. It’s a sports car that many, many people strive to drive or own at some point in their lifetime. They see the classic Carreras, the whale-tails, the Widowmakers, and they want a bit of that. For some, it’s just about having a hot-rodded car that emulates the VW Beetle…seriously, I’ve encountered people who claim that is the only reason why they want one. To each their own…but most people view it as a street car, with tall palm trees in the background.

The Porsche has a rougher side. We’ve seen rally cars, we’ve seen the “safari” builds that fall somewhere between a rally car and an off-roader, and then we have this car. It’s a 1984 Carrera…at least, it was…and now it’s lifted, violent, and has a roof rack that can support an RS Cup car. The tires are aggresive, the engine has plenty to offer, and on a dry lake bed, drifting around with the front inboard tire hanging just a little bit in the air, we’re all about it.
