Judy Lilly enjoyed a long and successful career as a Super Stock drag racer campaigning for Mopar. Early in her career she was behind the wheel of rare, factory built Hemi racers, and along the way she competed in many different cars, but all wore the pentastar in the hood. Below we have a cool video with Judy, shot at the 1978 NHRA SportsNationals at Beech Bend Raceway (where we’ll be this weekend). Any time Dave McClelland is involved, we’re on board!
Lilly talks about her career and the dedication it takes to be competitive on a national level. The Volare she is racing is pretty bad ass, pulling the wheels on a dry hop. We’re not going to wreck the ending, but it’s killer, with Dave Mac announcing the hell out of a very close Super Stock race!
