Auction: Video Of Unbelievable Lambrecht Chevrolet Collection That Is Going To Auction

Auction: Video Of Unbelievable Lambrecht Chevrolet Collection That Is Going To Auction

When we were told about this story, we honestly thought it was a hoax. We’ve heard about this dealer for years, but nobody has ever been able to bring real proof to the table that it actually exists. Well, they have now, and it’s on video. It’s truly amazing. We’re talking 1 mile Impalas, Cameo trucks, and more. Seriously, dozens of cars with less than 10 miles on them, that are from the 50’s and 60’s. The video showing the vehicles was prepared by VanDerBrink Auctions who will be handling the two day sale of all of these cars. Some are more valuable than others, but the story is priceless.

According to the stories, and history provided by the family, Ray P. Lambrecht ran Lambrecht Chevrolet with his wife and one mechanic for more than 50 years in Pierce Nebraska. Many new cars were bought by the dealership, never sold, and just parked inside ever since. These cars are still new and have never been titled. That means someone buying them at auction will in fact be the original owner! And you’ll have your chance to buy all of these cars, and an amazing collection of parts, September 28th and 29th, 2013.

Below is the first paragraph of the story of Lambrecht, as written by his daughter Jeannie.

The Story of Ray P. Lambrecht and Lambrecht Chevrolet Company by Jeannie Lambrecht Stillwell

Urban legends speak of a former Midwest Chevy dealer with a collection of hundreds of vehicles hidden away in a rural setting. Rumors abound regarding this man and the mystery of that collection. The man behind that legend is my father, Ray P. Lambrecht. Dad owned and operated Lambrecht Chevrolet Company from 1946 until 1996, selling new Chevrolets to multiple generations of families all over the Midwest and beyond. This is his story.

My great – grandmother Amanda Kort lived just down the street from the dealership on W. Main St.. I spent alot of time in Pierce, Nebr. when I was a kid. Never saw the doors open at this place. There used to be more cars next to and across from the shop. I believe they were moved NW of town. Whenever we visited relatives in Pierce, we would stop and take pictures of the cars sitting in the shop. Truly amazing, and we will definitely be at the auction.

Gotta say I’d be washing everything if I was doing this auction. The dust and dirt ain’t worth a damned thing.

Wow, “new” Corvairs, a ’62, and a ’63 with a 4 speed, and that blue Cameo, sweet, what a nice collection.

Am I the only one that had to mute the audio to make it through this? If I heard her say “one mile” one more time, I felt like my head would explode…

Yes. After 2 or 3 showings of the odometer with 1 mile or 4 miles or 44 miles was plenty enough, fer sure! Did you pick up that all the new ones still had the plastic on the seats? 🙂 But she did a good job knowing year and models available.
