How To Build A Manic Power Wheels, Volume One: Frame Out The Build!

Ever since we first saw the Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s Mustang start drifting at speeds more suited to a built quad, we’ve been hooked on their builds. In short order they have perfected the dream go-kart that the young versions of ourselves dreamed of, in a package that the adult form can get in and maximize the fun factor with. Since Santa is probably quarantined up at the North Pole this year (oh, no…stuck at home with Mrs. Claus, sipping cocoa and munching on gingerbread goodies, what a life…) chances are good that you’ve been roaming through the catalogs and websites, trying to figure out what you’re going to get yourself or maybe the kids for Christmas. Fall has officially hit, now is the perfect time to start early planning for the one day this year that might go right…right?

Well, how about a throwback to the days of building something at home instead of just buying something? Ever since they’ve put out the first video, we’ve thought the same thing through each and every new ride they build: “Damn, how do they do that?” Nevermind that if you sit through an entire build series, like the “Col. Senders” Jeep that has the 100-hp KTM engine, four-wheel-drive and reverse, you can pick it up, but they use a lot of specialized tools that they’ve acquired. Okay, good for them, but what if the most specialized thing you own is a welder? Well, that’s where this tutorial is going to be great for you. This project centers around the Dodge Charger cop car Power Wheels and is going to be a back-to-basics tutorial that will show you how to turn that little electric sled into something worth mentioning. This is the first episode out of what will be a full-on how-to series. Watch and learn, folks. And kids, you better shape up and start looking squared-away if you want Dad to get to work.
