Incredible Video: Watch The Grave Digger Monster Truck Leap and Land Directly On The Turtled Maximum Destruction Truck and Then Jump Over It!

Mock me if you wish, but damn do I love me some modern monster truck action. This video is proof of the capability that these amazing machines have. The trucks can fly and articulate like desert racers, they have engines that make thousands of horsepower, and they have tube chassis that are as advanced and detailed as anything you’ll see on a drag strip or road course. Watching a truck that weighs like five tons launch 20-30 feet in the air and then land on ANOTHER FRIGGING MONSTER TRUCK, then continue on and leap over THE SAME FRIGGING MONSTER TRUCK before calling it quits taking a bow to the roar of the crowd.

You can hate on monster trucks because they are cartoonish, some of the antics that they are into now are certainly made for tv, and that they can have goofy names and bodies. The counter point is that those things draw incredible crowds at multiple arenas and stadiums around the country every weekend and they get kids thinking about trucks and horsepower and roaring engines. Lots of kids (me included!) had our earliest “automotive crush” on vehicles like Big Foot 1, Bear Foot, Cyclops, and the other legion of first generation monster trucks. To see what those leaf sprung lumbering trucks have become is awe inspiring and a testament to the spirit of hot rodding!

Nice, talk about beating the other guy, then pissing all over the broken heap. Can’t imagine the thrashing the drivers of these rigs must take…
