Mini-Overlanding: Building A Camping Trailer For Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s Monster Jeep!

The concept of overlanding rules. Ever since I realized that I was living down the street from the offices of Overland Journal magazine back in 2011, the idea of a complete off-roading unit that you could live in for weeks at a time before returning to civilization sounded like a solid plan. Who wouldn’t want to hit the trails and just leave the world behind for a while? If this year hasn’t put you in that kind of mood, we don’t know what would. Frankly, I’d spend a month crossing Montana without roads in Grind Hard Plumbing Co.’s “Colonel Senders” Jeep, the 100 horsepower monster they recently finished up, as long as I get the trailer that they are bringing along too. Fitted with a rooftop tent and the gear that they expect to need on a small trip into the woods, this little rig is the best addition that could be made to the program and it’s because they fully intend on actually going into the woods for a few days with some others YouTubers that have built similar vehicles (yeah, we didn’t expect that either.)

The cool bit is that this can be scaled up or down as needed, so if an ATV trailer is what you’re looking for during the hunting season …or if you were wanting that final push to make one of these tiny tyke machines for yourself, now you have a reason!
