Ah, mud. More often than not it’s our enemy, but if you’re into getting dirty off-road, there’s nothing else like it. Stand on the throttle all you want…so long as you’re moving forward, you’ve got all the legroom in the world. Let that engine sing out, because wheelspin is needed to keep the tread clean. Besides, who can resist a good roostertail of the sloppy stuff being thrown as the trees shake with the sound of a wound-out mill? Not us, that’s for sure. This old Ford has a lot of things we like: a realistic lift (nothing against mega trucks, but this is more right-sized), a howling mill (we suspect a 460) and the inability to get stuck in the slop. It’s like a happy blue hog…it’s noisy and happiest slinging mud around. And the stacks out of the hood are a nice touch. Let that Blue Oval mill howl out to the wilds of Michigan. Is it Sasquatch? An angry bear? Nope…just a Ford mud truck doing it’s thing.
