Obscene Power Video: Watch An Aussie Outlaw 10.5 Car Try To Take Flight At Half Track!

Outlaw 10.5 cars are completely nuts. Teams that run these cars walk the razors edge on ever run with regard to chassis tuning and traction. One hit may result in near instant tire smoke while the next could turn out like this lap for the Motis Racing crew down in Australia. The car basically dead hooks, tried to settle down, and when the turbo really starts making some boost, starts into a major league power wheelie at half track before the driver clicks the machine off, saving his equipment and shorts for another round of competition.

We think the driver did a nice job because that car was just a couple degrees of wheelie away from taking flight, especially at the speed it was traveling at by mid track. None of us can forget the amazing video from SGMP a couple months back when the Mustang rode the parachute mount for a few hundred feet before landing on all four at the quarter mile finish line. If the wheelie bars had bent of caved in any way or if the driver had kept his right foot jammed into it for just a second of more longer, we’d be watching video of an insane flying Mustang crash. We dig the bad ass wheelie outcome a hell of a lot better than that!

I love watching cars racing, but I don’t think I have the guts to be in one myself. I would be so scared!
