First off, don’t use these products or techniques unless you have done the research on your particular wheel finishes. You would NOT want to use vinegar or acid based wheel cleaners on polished, uncoated, billet wheels for example. Read the instructions on any wheel cleaner to make sure it fits for your application. But even if your wheels can be safely cleaned with commercial wheel cleaners, are they really the answer? Or should you use something natural like vinegar? Or better yet, will Dawn dish soap handle your toughest wheel cleaning, without the risk of acid of vinegar damage?
