The guys at Husky Liner are faithful customers of Patterson Racing Engines and Aeromotive, and shot cool video of their new COPO Camaro running 9.78 at Topeka this past weekend. You saw us showing the Grumpy Jenkins Tribute Camaro, driven by Dave Connolly, pull a big wheelstand and run a mid 9 second pass here at BangShift yesterday, but today’s video is from inside the car. Note how stable this thing is with virtually no movement of the steering wheel.

That’s two COPO cars that are confirmed to be running deep in the 9’s, and both under the current national record. Connolly’s pass was at night where temps could have been low and DA’s good in comparison to Topeka, and Rockingham is usually a better track, but either way these two COPOs are flying. We hate the fact that we haven’t been invited to drive one yet, especially considering the family history here driving stick shift Camaros on the drag strip. Oh well, we’ll have to wait until we can afford one of our own I guess. Until then we’re going to love on this video.
