At the 2013 New England Hot Rod Reunion, we watched the fastest Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster in history get it’s first win. Despite previous attempts at victory at both the March Meet and California Hot Rod Reunion, the Bartone Bros. Racing team have been unable to get a win. It’s been a frustrating adventure for them because despite running quicker and faster than most, the cards just have not fallen in their favor…until now. It would be at the New England Hot Rod Reunion, the closest Nostalgia Drag Race to the Bartone Bros. home in New York, where the streak of low ET’s and Top Speeds would finally come together for the win. This video is, as we’ve come to expect from Les Mayhew’s Nitro America, epic.

Les takes drag racing story telling to a new level once again, and we couldn’t be more proud to have been there to live it and participate in it. BangShift’s own Brian Lohnes can be heard throughout the video announcing the action, describing the players, and giving details on the gorgeous  Top Fuel Dragster of the Bartone Bros. This video is not just runs on the track. It’s the story behind the victory. The trials, tribulations, struggles, laughs, and excitement that together brought them their first win in Nostalgia Top Fuel. The weather alone was a huge competitor on this particular weekend, but throughout the weekend you’ll see that the Bartone Bros. Racing Team was laughing, eating and drinking their way to a fun and exciting win.
