In the nearly 100 Parting Shift items we have published over the last couple years, we never thought to include a motorcycle with a suicide shifter. Why? Clearly it is because we’re morons, but you knew that already. Instead of some hokey video of a guy on an old Indian or something we’re bringing it to you BangShift style with the coolest custom Harley we have ever seen.
This bike is called “The Whip” and it was built to capture the ethos of old school board track motorcycles and we think it nails that 100%! The shifter, like everything else on the bike is totally custom. Normally the “jockey” shifter is in front of the rider’s leg, but this one is behind.
We know very little about motorcycles, but we do know that we hate stupid looking choppers that have front forks appearing to be 14 feet long and tires wider than can be found on a fuel dragster. This bike is not something that seems like a long ride would be comfy on, and it also seems like a machine that could readily kill an unseasoned rider, but man, the looks are sexy as hell. This baby is 100% business!
