So yeah, what’s your story? This four year old kid knows his way around a flow bench like you know your way around a buffet and frankly that’s an impressive amount of knowledge. We’ll go on record right now saying that the kiddo knows more than us about setting us a head on the bench and actually getting air to run through it for the purposes of measurement. It is a safe guess that he knows that process better than you do as well. How does this happen? We’ll call it an occupational hazard. You see, this is Nathan Smithberg who happens to be the son of Nick Smithberg who is a noted machinist and whiz with making heads and intakes better. Nick has worked on lots of cool projects for lots of cool people and it seems that the next generation of his business is already dabbling, which really rules.
We’re going to treat this video as one of those “before they were stars” type deals because let’s face it. If you are already comfy in setting up and running a flow bench when you are flipping four years old, there’s no chance you are going to grow up to be an accountant, an insurance salesman, or a professional baseball player. Nope, this guy will have metal shavings in his hair, an obsession with CFM, and like his dad a creative mind for problem solving and making his customers more power.
We’re sure that Nick is a very proud dad and beams every time he looks at this video, we know we would be doing the same thing! Now, let’s see how good a porting job he can do on a set of LS7 heads. We’ll need those back be Monday. Welcome to the real world, kid! We kid.
