According to the Facebook site “Disturb Reality”, it took eleven months, three thousand pictures, and “a lot of coffee” to put together this stop-motion video documenting the teardown and rebuild of an engine, and while we don’t doubt that there was effort involved, we have to wonder…just three thousand pictures? The entire affair, from start to finish, looks so clean and clinical that you sincerely wonder where all of the time spent waiting for parts, swearing while scrubbing down the grease, and hunting for that one ****ing clip that just flew off on it’s own went. I’m guessing that the car is a Triumph TR4A, but I may be wrong there. In any case, the builder condensed down the refurbishment of the Triumph’s four-cylinder to just over two minutes in length and set the video to “In The Hall of the Mountain King”, a song that as far as I’m concerned, is only used to showcase a descent into madness…a place that the builder just mind find himself after locating all of the extra parts.
Thanks to Fred Timmons for the tip!

I could watch this over and over and over again.
Nice video.
Good for another 8 K miles before another rebuild . . . lol.
Nice oil filter positioning. Guarantees a filthy, grimy, stincky, mess.
At least the pos won’t rust.
Thanks for posting the vid.
This engine is a most likely a 1300cc spitfire .
