While big rig oval track racing has been dead here in the United States for a couple of decades, the intrepid racers in Canada have never stopped…or at least up until 2005 they hadn’t stopped. This video was filmed up in Calgary and it shows some great wheel to wheel big rig racing, it also shows a massive wreck that harks back to the reason the GATR series died a tough death here in the states many moons ago.
This is a simple video with lots of great racing footage. There is no music, no dialog, nothing to distract you from the sweet song of huge diesel engines running flat out. If this show came within 300 miles of my house, I would be there with bells on. The trucks look so cool lowered down and with their bodies seemingly channeled down over the frame. The sound fantastic with their whistling turbos down the straights.
If you just want the wreckage, fast forward to about 2:30 and watch the titanic wreck. If you want to see good racing with awesome trucks, just press play below and enjoy!

Well the race track (drag strip, road race course & circle track) is now permantly closed to be turned into a garbage dump run off pond.
