Video Bonanza: U-Haul trucks Getting Thrashed

Video Bonanza: U-Haul trucks Getting Thrashed

We’ll admit right off the bat that we have beaten down a U-Haul truck or two in our day. We got a V10 powered model high sided on a pile of tires one time. It’s kind of a long story, but let’s just say that the rev limiter on that truck got used really well. The videos in this Bonanza take it to another level. This is pure rental truck violence. BangShift.com does not endorse or encourage this behavior, but since these hoons did it, we may as well enjoy it.

Here’s a 17 foot Ford powered box truck getting neutral dropped into a good burnout.

The sound track sucks, but check out the air these guys get bouncing the trucks!

A Ford catching air!

Listen as this loon throws the truck into park at apparent highway speed

A GM powered 10-footer frying a tire.

Sweet Jump!

U-Haul Dirt Road = Magic

“We’ll admit right off the bat that we have beaten down a U-Haul truck or two in our day.”

Was that your revenge because you think rental vehicle rates are too high?

“BangShift.com does not endorse or encourage this behavior, but since these hoons did it, we may as well enjoy it.”

It doesn’t? Then why are you promoting the video and giving the impression that’s it’s cool?

This site is here to make money. Videos like this attract viewers. The more viewers the more money.

      It’s that pathetically simple.

The next time I have to spend big bucks to fix the rental trucks that I work on, and my boss says it’s because I don’t maintain them correctly, I’m showing him these videos.

I love this website. I’m here every day, but I hate this post. There’s so much wrong here.

I’ll start off by saying that I avoid renting trucks from UHaul. I’ve heard too many first person experiences to think that unreliable, poorly maintained UHaul trucks are rare.

The idiots in these videos appear to be employees of storage companies or other businesses that rent UHail trucks. I hope they lost their jobs.

If they want to trash their own property, fine.

First of all, they’re taking a paycheck from someone who depends on these trucks to earn the money to pay them. I’ll bet they’re doing this crap while they’re on the time clock too.

Secondly, since the trucks are being abused, that makes it more likely that these trucks will break down, leaving some poor sucker stranded with all of their possessions in the back. If they’re by themselves and without a cell phone (or somewhere without a signal), that means leaving the truck and looking for help. All of their property could be stolen while their gone.

Plus, being broken down on the highway leaves you at risk for robbery (or worse), or having an impaired driver (or moron that’s sending a text) run you over.

If none of that happens, there’s still the aggravation and time involved in unpacking one truck and reloading another. Since there’s a specific way to load trucks front to back, everything would have to be taken out, staged on the ground and then repacked in the second truck to get it in the right order. Heavy stuff goes on first and comes off last.

How would you like to do that on the side of the highway…at night…in the rain?

Of course I’ve heard the expression, and I believe it applies to rental cars.

      I stand by my statement.

    Yes I have.

But as proud owner of Ingles Truck Rental, if you saw a Youtube video of a customer driving your truck like a rental, you’d be ok with that?

I agree the people in these videos are grade-A aholes, and I think it’s a bit dubious to promote their vids while simultaneously saying “we don’t condone this behavior.”

    Still, I get it.

In any case, I’m thinking electronics are going to put an end to this BS in the very near future. A black box is all it will take, and then we’ll *all* enjoy better quality rental vehicles at lower prices.

This is very funny made me laugh out loud, I have witnessed this type of behavior before, it is wrong on every level, but it is very funny, since the damage was already done, thanks a million for posting it and giving us a great laugh.
