Oh this is one for the books! The Blazer you see with the blazing fire under it (see what we did there?) suffers what may be the single most violent engine explosion we have ever seen that didn’t involve lots of boost or nitromethane. This kid is involved in a truck tug of war with another, far larger truck and his strategy seemed to center around attempting to blow his truck up. Good news, he succeeded!
As you will see the driver of the Blazer has the thing on kill. The engine is bouncing off of the rev limiter, he is grabbing different gears and smoldering all four tires as his competition drags him backward. All of a sudden as he is smoking the tires and sawing the wheels, the engine let’s go with a tremendous BOOM. The oil flying out of the pan ignites on hot engine parts and then the safety crew is off to the races. Happily, they get the fire out before it gets really bad and the kid does not appear to be wounded (outside of financially). The shots of what appear to be main bearing shells and other pieces on the ground are wild.
The crowd sure appreciated his effort! Watch the video all the way through, it is only a minute long and worth every second! Having a bad Friday? Not as bad as this guy!
