Video: Ten Minutes of Rally Wreckage

This video is a win for several reasons. The first is that it features nothing but the pure sounds of wreckage. There’s no dumbass techno soundtrack or other distractions, instead there are motors on the chip as the car they happen to be attached to careens through the air. We can’t even ID half the cars in this video, but they all end up wrecked anyway, so it really does not matter. Trees always win.

Rally racing is really small potatoes here in the US, but over in Europe, especially in the countries that have lots of rural territory and dirt roads, it is big time. This video features ten and a half minutes of amateur rally drivers over-cooking corners, losing wheels, smashing poles, going airborne, and generally pushing the envelope just a shade too far.

The spectators seem to have a contest about who can get to the destroyed car first, after they stop clapping anyway. These be some crazy Finns.
