Video: Where They Raced New Teaser PLUS – Where YOU Can Watch This Bitchin’ Documentary On February 9th!

We’ve showed you several clips from the Where They Raced documentary over the last year or two. This is the latest teaser released by Harry Pallenberg and the crew who has been working on the film. The big news, outside of this sneak peek at the movie is the fact that Where They Raced is going to be screened at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo, California on February 9th at 1pm. This is an opportunity to both see the film and visit one of the coolest car museums in the country. Why is it so neat? They actually take people for rides in some of the cars. On the day the movie is being screened the museum will be cruising a Chrysler Airflow, a a 1941 Cadillac convertible, and a 1936 Packard.

If you are unfamiliar with the premise behind Where They Raced, the film visits the location of great historic racing locations around Los Angeles. There are drag strips, road courses, circle tracks of both asphalt and dirt make up, along with tons of local and automotive history. What’s even cooler is that the film often places period correct race cars on the old courses (or on the road where the old courses would have been). It is juxtaposition in its finest and coolest car form. Dead race tracks make us sad, but Pallenberg does an awesome job celebrating these former houses of speed and not mourning them. If you are in or around El Segundo, California on February 9th and miss out on this chance to see the film, we’ll find you and say mean things. Don’t make us do that.
