We have no idea what the hell happened to the driver of the truck in this video, if the steering failed, or if the guy just decided enough was enough and he was going to finally answer the question regarding the jumping capability of ancient Mercedes trucks. We also have no idea how the man fared after this wreck, as there is no detail given with the video description. We do know that all of the people passing under this truck seconds before it launched onto the roadway are lucky as hell. How he managed to not land on a single car, especially because traffic was heavy, we’ll never know.
Truck driving is a dangerous occupation. There’s the ever present risks presented by the other people on the road, potential equipment failures, the pressures of keeping things on schedule and on time, etc. While it sucks to get stuck in the weigh station or on the side of the road for an inspection by a DOT officer, it beats the hell out of driving on the road with some clapped out junk that could fail like this truck did. We have to assume the driver didn’t want to drive off the side of the road, but a mechanical failure caused this insanity to happen.
When we’re driving today, we’ll be paying extra close attention to overpasses.

By posting this “film” which by the way is of lousy quality, you are making money off the death of a human being. (Don’t tell me he didn’t die, you don’t know that. Even if he didn’t his injuries must have been severe.)
There are plenty of websites out there that cater to those who see the ultimate misfortune of others as something to be watched for their amusement. This site doesn’t have to be one of them.
Lighten up. I’ve see much worse than that (shooting helicopters down ) on the old A TEAM t.v. show……no one ever died, they always showed them climbing out of the wreckage.
